Agricultural Technology Transfer Society (ATTS)
Welcome to ATTS
ATTS is non-governmental organization accredited by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs in the Sudan according to the work permit No.2234 dated January 21st 2009. The members are scientists, professors and researchers with common interest in the exploitation of research and modern agricultural technologies to uplift productivity of the agricultural sector of the Sudan.
Vision:
Attainment of food security in Sudan through availing appropriate technologies
Mission:
Improve research and development (R&D) options to reduce rural poverty and vulnerability.
Goals
1- Develop and promote affordable and sustainable soil, water, crop and nutrient management options and integrated approaches to watershed management;
2. Identify and promote options for systems diversification (high-value crops, trees and livestock) to improve rural livelihood security;
3. Enhance capacity of R&D partners
ATTS Activities
1.Capacity building of workers in slaughterhouses of Khartoum state
2.Capacity building of livestock owners in Kassala state in the utilization of non-conventional feeds in animal nutrition.
3.Introduction of cactus (Opuntia ficus-indica f. inermis) to stop sand movement and provide alternative livestock feed source in Nahr an Nil State.
4.Improving goat production in South Kordofan
5.Assessment of Food Security Status in Juba Counties.

What we do

ATTS established partnership with a national NGO (vet-care) working in development projects in a rural area of Western Sudan and is monitoring biogas digesters functioning and reporting to ATTS.

Concen Worldwide
ATTS is working as consultant in food security issues in western Sudan (Kordofan and Darfur) in collaboration with Concen Worldwide.
World Food Program (WFP)
ATTS is executing a project of installation biogas for schools in all states of Darfur with collaboration of world food program (WFP).
